Winter Palooza

On January 22 at the SouthTowne Expo Center is Winter Palooza. Katelyn and I went last year and had a blast! They have bounce houses, animal shows, princesses, performances, etc., etc. It cost $8 per person, which I think is steep. But click on the link below to get half price tickets:

Quiz: Are you a Problem Parent?

My good friend is getting married tomorrow. Of course, I still hadn't bought a wedding present, so I dragged the girls along with me tonight to Dillard's. (Nyall is out of town.) Have you seen their home section during Christmastime? There are breakables everywhere...and I mean EVERYWHERE! I was almost panicked, but thought, I HAVE to get a gift tonight! I explained to the girls they could look but NOT touch. That lasted for about 10 seconds. Luckily, nothing was broken, but I lost my temper and felt like a loser parent by the end of it all. Cambria started CHASING Kate around. Kate was laughing hysterically. It would have been so cute anywhere else! I finally got them to stop after yelling and notifying Cambria we would not be frosting cupcakes tonight like I promised. Cambria was devastated. Afterwards, I felt kind of guilty and thought, they're just kids and I shouldn't have taken them to such a store in the first place. Anyway, I happened upon this article tonight and got a kick out of reading it. It just seemed to fit the frustration with my kids:

P.S. If you want another laugh, when you scroll down the page, there's a link for an article called "The Breastfeeding Father" with a picture of a baby being breastfed. My first thought was, "Eww. I hope that's not a man breastfeeding his child." So of course I clicked on it. It's about what men can do to help their breastfeeding wives.

Utah Kids Club-Know anything about it???

With the ICE COLD weather approaching, the thought of being cooped up in the house all winter just makes me want to cry.  That said, I think I could have just found the solution.  My sister just told me about a membership card for discounts on things to do with the kiddies.  There are over a hundred discounts as well as a calendar with 20+ FREE events each week.  It's $12 a month or $27 for 3 months to be part of the club.   They will also give you coupons for free Kids Meals at various restaurants, Olive Garden, Red Robin, Macaroni Grill...just to name a few. Green Water Issue

Ladies- please tell me I'm not the only one totally freaking out about putting my babies in this newly discovered disgusting water?!????! I'm a seeing things? I can SMELL the water! Am I going absolutely crazy? I'm really just thinking this can't be healthy- call me crazy. I have been on Advantage Management and Granger-Hunter Waters BUTTS, but my water is still GREEN!!! I'm not okay with that. Advantage Management did flush out the hydrants, but the problem is still here. I'm guessing our plumbing was done with the crappiest quality pipes the lovely Trophy Homes could muster up, which is where the problem is. I'm even going to speculate those pipes are made of copper, which does this to water. I refuse to keep bathing in pee-water! Is anybody with me?!? If so, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE file a complaint! You can e-mail Advantage Management at kingspointehoa@gmail.com or heck, you can call them and flood their lines with green water complaints. Do it for the children!! ... ha ha ha. :) Their number is 801 235-7368.

Lemonade Diet

Has any of you lovely ladies experimented with this bad boy before? Would anybody be up to the challenge of doing this ten day cleanse with me? I'm desperate all right! I hate that I love eating, I hate having that show. SERENITY NOW!!!!???!!!! If you can't tell, I'm having a moment, but I am serious about doing the cleanse. I have the directions for this, so let me know if you are interested!!
