Playground Playdates

Now that school is out and there is sunshine in sight, I thought it would be fun to venture out to different parks and playgrounds around the Valley. Maybe once a week or so we could choose a place to meet, enjoy lunch and friends' company while the kiddos all play. Is anyone interested in that? Suggestions for days and parks are certainly welcome!

It would just be an open thing as I know not everyone would be able to come each time. I thought this would be a good way to experience new things in our community and break up the monotony of our own playground :)

News

Plan A was for Adam Kowalk to get us the deal at the Homestead and that fell through. Plan B was for Jessica to get us a deal at the Marriot and that didn't work out either. It's nobody's fault, it's just been too hard and too stressful to get all the kinks worked out so I decided to cancel our retreat.

Besides, we ended up finding renters this week for our house and they want to be moved in by July 1st. That means we have to hurry and find a house, move out, and move in all within 30 days. Yikes! We didn't think it would happen this fast, but we need to jump at this awesome opportunity. Anyway, thanks for your patience in trying to help with putting the retreat together. Coupon class

Hi ladies!

I am having a coupon lady from Freebies 2 Deals come present a coupon class on Tuesday, June 21 at 8:00 p.m. at my place (Saratoga Springs).

The class is free to attend. I need a little extra help getting going with my couponing, and thought this would be a great way to get educated.

ladies retreat...yep, it's me again

I have heard from a decent number of people and it seems that August works well for most. Mark your calendars for Friday, August 5th. Char is going to make the reservation, so we need a final head count. We won't know what kind of room we can get until we make the reservation, but I will keep you posted when we find out (let's all cross our fingers for a suite!). Please let me know of your final decision by NEXT TUESDAY. That gives you one week to think about it and get back to me. If I don't hear from you by NEXT TUESDAY, I will count you out on this one. Please help spread the word. We want everyone to join us!

p.s. For those of you who have infants (I know there are quite a few of us), you are more than welcome to bring them with you. The babies have attended many ladies nights, and they are never a problem. Just think of it as extra bonding time for you and your little one. It will be fun to have them join us!

After talking more with Charlotte here is what I found out...

Adam can get us a room for $100 a night, and obviously we would only stay for one night. We won't know the exact details until we get a head count and set a date. After we get those things established then he can book the room. He could possibly get a suite, it just depends on their availability for the night that we choose. Either way though, the room would be $100. So if we end up getting a suite, it would be the better option since we could all stay together and split the cost multiple ways resulting in a CHEAP night stay. If we can't get a suite then he can book us a few different rooms. We would still split the cost, but it wouldn't be AS cheap. Also, I am not exactly sure how many adults the suite can sleep, so depending on how many ladies come, we might need a couple suites, or a suite plus another room.

I believe the regular rooms sleep 4 adults, so plan on spending $25 per person AT THE MOST. That would be the price if we have to book a bunch of regular rooms instead of the suite. Last year we each payed $20, so I think this is a killer deal considering that it's a super nice resort. Would it help to plan this weekend further out? Like maybe towards the end of summer? I want everyone (who wants to come) to be able to make it, so maybe it will help to schedule it during a time when there aren't so many summer vacations going on. What do you think? How about this...if you are interested after hearing these details, please post a comment with the dates of your TOP THREE FRIDAY NIGHTS in June, July, and August that work best for you. And please include any suggestions and/or questions that you have for me in your comment so I can try to work out all the kinks.  

Also, if any of you talk to the ladies who have moved out of the neighborhood and/or ladies who don't check the blog, please mention it to them. The more the merrier and it would be GREAT to catch up with those that we don't see very often.

I am super excited and have LOTS of fun ideas of things for us to do that weekend. Last year was fun and I am hoping to make this year EVEN BETTER.

Biggest Loser Kingspointe Style!

So with swimsuit season knocking on our door would anyone be interested in doing a Biggest loser challenge for a quick month or two. I have a great website that calculates the percent of body fat lost so that it makes it more fair for those that don't have a lot to lose than just going off of weight loss amount alone. I was thinking to make it more fun and to have more of an incentive we could all put in $10 bucks and have like a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner. We could also do a seperate one for the men if they wanted to. I think that they need to be seperate to make things fair cause men usually tend to drop it quicker than women.
We could have a beginning weigh in at someones house and a final weigh in. Then the weekly weigh in we could do at someones house but with schedules and such we could do it at our own houses and then text someone your weight. I know that telling your weight to others is not something that we tend to like to do so we could just have one person in charge of inputting the stuff. I would be more than happy to do it and could post a weekly top 3 on here.
Just an idea. Leave a message on here if you are interested in joining and I will try to let those that do not follow the blog know also. Also check with the hubby's and see how many of them are interested. I was thinking we could get going on this quickly and so I was hoping to have the starting date be May 2nd or 3rd. So let me know asap! Let's kick this weight loss into gear and get ready to show off our smoking hot bodies at the pool!

It's been over a year since our ladies weekend in Park City. Is everyone ready for another getaway? I have been talking with Charlotte and her hubby can get us a discounted room at the Homestead in Midway.

The Homestead is amazing and I think it would be perfect for our next ladies weekend.

With all the summer vacations coming up, I am not sure what kind of turn out we will have, but leave me a comment about your thoughts on dates, times, ideas, etc.

We were thinking about planning it for Friday, June 3rd.
